What was the highlight of Zmar Eco Experience
The concept.
The concept. There was an employee - I believe her name is Raquel Ferreira, who went above an beyond making sure my family and I had a good experience.
The kitchen utensils were not particularly clean and they were stored randomly. I was trying to cook for five (the maximum capacity was 6) and the pots and pans were too small to hold food for that amount of people. Breakfast (included in the fee) was a bit chaotic: too many people at the same time, not enough seating, too much wait.

What was the highlight of Zmar Eco Experience
Amazing concept, but infrastructure could improve.
The concept is absolutely amazing and the location is great. You can check out at 11h but can enjoy the hotel and its facilities until 18h (although no one told us this at the check in)
The infrastructure is not very well maintained, the dinner buffet is very expensive for what it offers, very family-oriented, so if you are going for a romantic trip, it is a little too noisy because of the kids.

A pseudo-eco resort where you can enjoy "nature" in your poor taste "eco-house" with 3 TVs.
Pool was nice. The animal farm was also nice. And there is a farm surrounding that could be interesting. Overall the place is large and looks like they made a big investment
A lot of poor quality things, and also bad taste. For the price we paid, it's not acceptable. Examples of bad taste: the "houses" that are supposed to be for "nature living" have three TV sets, one in the main room and one per bedroom. In contrast, there is no soap in the bathroom, the kitchen does not even have kitchen paper or is fully equipped, and the best is that the TVs... show only a "wrong card inserted" error message (true, I tried one). There is not a single decoration detail in this place: just bad taste (the MoMa reproductions in the main hall....). The road access is painfully bumpy ("to protect the children", they write). The staff are unfriendly, and untrained (breakfast at 8:00... wrong, it was at 8:30); "go to the lounge room to play with children" (wrong, it only opens at 10:00). The shop has a few doubtful items but it's ok, although they make an effort to piss you off (small wine bottles? We don't have. Beer? We only have 1L bottles - please spend more). The breakfast food is low quality, and again bad taste. English beans - really? Is it that easy to open a can and serve some beans to guests who NEVER eat these at breakfast? Sliced industrial cheese - really? If this is a farm, is it really that difficult to have local products? As said - you will find more authentic places than this one. I recommend that you avoid this place, unless you don't care or you need some poorly wrapped package to give you the illusion that you are "eco".

Nice stay in a wooden house for trekking in Rota Vicentina. Great breakfast.
Nice place. Eco friendly property. Great breakfast. Parking near the wooden houses. Quiet place. Swimming pool with waves. Friendly staff. Place a few kilometres far from the beach. Good for kids.
Road with poor maintenance. Too many holes. Porch not well cleaned.
